What we do

RAM-specific tools, OEM Mopar parts.

RAM diagnostics use AlphaScan / wiTECH or compatible Stellantis tools. We have the right kit for modern RAM, including the Cummins-specific INSITE software for diesel work.

For the Hemi 5.7 lifter tick (MDS), we replace failed lifters with updated OEM Mopar parts. The aftermarket lifters often fail again within 30,000 miles. We use OEM. For severe lifter failure, the cam may need to be replaced too — we’ll diagnose and quote in writing.

For the EcoDiesel CP4 fuel pump, we follow the same approach as the Power Stroke 6.7 CP4: proactive replacement on high-mileage trucks, OEM Bosch parts, no CP3 conversions (federal compliance).

FAQ

Common questions.

What’s the Hemi tick?

The 5.7 Hemi has a Multi-Displacement System (MDS) that deactivates 4 cylinders under light load. The lifters that handle the cylinder switching can fail, causing a tick at idle that gets worse with age. The fix involves replacing the failed lifters (sometimes the cam too if damage has spread). Typical cost: $2,000–$4,000.

Do you service the 6.7 Cummins?

Yes — extensively. See our Cummins page. We have INSITE diagnostic software, OEM parts, and we service every generation of the 6.7 Cummins from 2007.5 to current.

What about the EcoDiesel?

Yes. The 3.0L EcoDiesel in older RAM 1500 has a CP4 fuel pump issue similar to the 6.7 Power Stroke. We service routine work and address the CP4 proactively when warranted.

Can you service the Aisin transmission?

Yes. The Aisin AS69RC in RAM 3500 HD diesel is a robust transmission that needs disciplined fluid service. We use the manufacturer-spec fluid and follow Aisin procedures.

Are you cheaper than a RAM dealer?

Typically 25–35% below dealer rates for the same work using OEM Mopar parts.
