In short: Auto Trends services every modern Jeep — Wrangler, Grand Cherokee, Cherokee, Gladiator, Wagoneer, Compass. We address the Wrangler “death wobble,” differential service, drivetrain on 4WD systems, EcoDiesel maintenance, and the platform-specific work that gets neglected on a daily-driven Jeep.
What we do

Death wobble fixes, drivetrain expertise.

The Wrangler “death wobble” is the most common Jeep complaint we see. It’s a violent oscillation in the front suspension that typically triggers at 50+ mph after hitting a bump. The fix is rarely the steering stabilizer (which is a band-aid). The real fix is addressing track bar bushings, ball joints, and the steering linkage.

We diagnose with a full front-end inspection on a lift, check track bar tightness and bushing wear, ball joint play, and steering linkage condition. We replace the failed components with OEM Mopar or quality OE-equivalent.

For lifted Wranglers, the lift kit changes the geometry and accelerates wear on certain components. We adjust caster/camber for the lift and inspect drivelines for the new operating angles.

Platform-specific issues we see most.

FAQ

Common questions.

How do you fix Wrangler death wobble?

Real diagnosis first: track bar (bushings, mounting bolts, the bar itself), ball joints, control arm bushings, steering linkage tie rod ends, drag link, sometimes the steering box. We replace what’s worn. The steering stabilizer is the last line of defense, not the first — replacing it alone usually masks the real issue.

Do you service lifted Jeeps?

Yes. Alignment for lift, drivetrain inspection (lifted rigs see more U-joint wear), suspension component replacement, and the drivetrain-vibration issues that can come with lift. We also do regear / locker installation case-by-case.

Can you service the EcoDiesel?

Yes — the 3.0 EcoDiesel in Grand Cherokee and Wrangler is similar in service profile to the RAM 1500 EcoDiesel. We have the right diagnostic tools and parts.

What about the 4xe hybrid?

Yes — Wrangler 4xe and Grand Cherokee 4xe. Routine work (tires, brakes, suspension) and 12V system. High-voltage drivetrain we approach case-by-case.

Are you cheaper than the Jeep dealer?

Typically 25–35% below dealer rates for the same work using OEM Mopar parts. The death-wobble fix specifically is far cheaper than a dealer’s typical ‘replace stabilizer + alignment’ approach because we actually diagnose the cause.
