What we do

PIWIS scan tools, OEM Porsche parts.

Porsche diagnostics require PIWIS (Porsche’s dealer-level software) for module-level work. We have it. Coding, programming, and advanced diagnostics that generic tools miss are routine for us.

For the M96 / early M97 IMS bearing, we offer LN Engineering replacements — the industry-standard upgraded bearing — installed during clutch service or as a standalone job depending on access. We track engine code numbers to identify which generation of IMS your specific car has.

For routine maintenance, we use OEM Porsche fluids and parts. Porsche service is one of the few platforms where the OEM premium is meaningful — counterfeit and substandard aftermarket parts have caused real damage on these cars.

Common Symptoms

Platform-specific issues we see most.

If your vehicle is doing any of these, bring it in. None of them is guaranteed to be the part you might think — that’s why we diagnose first.

FAQ

Common questions.

Do you do IMS bearing replacement?

Yes — typically during clutch service, since the engine has to be at least partially out anyway. We use LN Engineering upgraded bearings on M96 and early M97 engines. We confirm the engine code number first to determine which IMS generation applies.

Are you Porsche-trained?

Our European tech has manufacturer-specific training including Porsche platforms. We use PIWIS dealer software for advanced diagnostics. Generic tools are inadequate for most Porsche-specific work.

What about air-cooled Porsches (964, 993)?

Case by case. We’ve worked on air-cooled Porsches and have relationships with the specialist parts suppliers. For specific air-cooled work — engine rebuilds, bumper-to-bumper refresh — we’ll discuss scope before commit.

Are you cheaper than the Porsche dealer?

Significantly. Porsche dealer rates are among the highest in automotive service. Independent specialist rates with OEM parts run 30–50% below dealer. We never compromise on parts quality to get there.

Do you do PDK transmission service?

Yes. Fluid change at the manufacturer-recommended 75,000 miles. We use Porsche-spec PDK fluid. Mechatronic-level work is case-by-case.
