Conventional, full synthetic, high-mileage, and diesel oil. OEM-spec filters. Multi-point inspection on every change. The right oil for your specific vehicle, not whatever’s cheapest in the bulk drum.
If your vehicle is showing any of these, bring it in. Most are addressable; all deserve real diagnosis before parts are thrown at the problem.
An oil change at Auto Trends is more than draining oil and refilling. We match the oil weight and specification to your vehicle’s manufacturer requirement (BMW LL-01, MB 229.5, dexos1 Gen 3, Ford WSS-M2C961-A1, etc.) — not just whatever’s in the bulk tank. We use OEM or premium OE-equivalent filters (Mahle, Mann, Wix, Ford Motorcraft, etc.).
While the oil is draining, the tech does a complimentary 30+ point inspection: brake pads and rotors, suspension wear, tire condition and tread depth, all major fluids, belts and hoses, battery health, coolant condition, exhaust integrity, and any platform-specific items for your make/model. Photos go to your phone.
Most oil changes take 30–45 minutes. Diesel oil changes (which require more oil, more time, and a quality filter) take 45–60 minutes. Walk-ins welcome when bays are open; appointments preferred.
Conventional is mineral-based oil refined from crude. Synthetic blend mixes synthetic and conventional. Full synthetic is engineered from scratch for better performance — flows better cold, breaks down slower, protects better at high temps. Most modern engines (2010+) require full synthetic per the manufacturer. We follow the manufacturer’s spec.
Depends on the vehicle. Most modern cars (2010+) running full synthetic can go 5,000–7,500 miles between changes; some BMW / Mercedes go 10,000+. Diesels need 5,000–7,500 miles. Older vehicles or vehicles in severe service (towing, dust, short trips) benefit from 3,000–5,000 mile intervals. We follow manufacturer recommendations and adjust for your driving conditions.
Yes. BMW LL-01, LL-04, LL-12-FE; Mercedes 229.5, 229.51; VW/Audi 502.00, 504.00, 507.00; Porsche A40. We carry the right oil for each spec and use OEM filters.
Most cars have an oil life monitor that needs to be reset after service. We always reset it as part of the service. If you brought the car somewhere else and the light came back on, you can reset it through the dashboard menu (the procedure varies by manufacturer) or bring it in and we’ll reset it for free.
