The EA888 2.0T is the engine in most modern VWs. It’s a strong engine, but the timing chain tensioner has a documented failure mode. We address with updated OEM components — not the cheap aftermarket parts that fail again in 30,000 miles.
For DSG transmission service, we follow VW’s official procedure (fluid + filter at 40,000 miles for typical service, mechatronic-level work case-by-case). We use VW-spec DSG fluid.
